I Wish I Was Drunk

Okay so it's Summer 09 (woooot!) and I'm dancing whilst I'm writing this. It's a little difficult, but very worth it. I will post the music so you too can dance whilst you read it. (Scroll down and press play)

So, first there was beach week. That was really fun. Alcohol, beach, late nights, dancing, hooking up with randoms-is there anything else to life? If so I don't want to know. That is Kim below, super cute azn girl that I was supposed to tell all of you about. We met and stuff and yeah.



Next came Orientation, June 25 (RIP MJ), which was a lot of fun. I bombed the math placement test though I don't know how badly. Whatever. All's well that ends well. I made a lot of really cool kids, stayed up till 3 a.m. hanging out and discussing Megan Fox. I didn't have the joy of cleaning anything, but hopefully that'll come later. ;) I did learn my school cry. It involves ca-cawing. Cause I'm an Eagle. Also I got my schedule ironed out:
  • Understanding Human Behavior
  • Visual Literacy (it's all about the way media is presented to us)
  • Great Ideas of Mathematics (not actual math, but cool, interesting theoretical math like infinity plus 1 equals?)
  • Critical Social Thought
  • American Society on Screen and Stage
Next came my internship at poptimal.com. I am the EIC/creator's intern. I will manage a lot of the publicity for local events, run the facebook, myspace and twitter pages, write television reviews twice a week, and possibly end up going to a few movie premieres and meeting some famous people.

I've seen a good number of you over the summer so this might have been a major rehashing, so sorry. But uhm yeah, my summer's been pretty great all in all. I just hang out, metro to DC, buy sweaters, watch lots of really good TV and some not so good. I have five weeks left at home and am ridiculously excited. Hopefully we can have one last journalism hang out before we all leave, CDGJ felt this would be lovely and I agree.

Finally, I just got my roommates, a month after everyone else, but it's all good cause we live in the hall I wanted. Okay, so here they are. The first guy is a (99% sure he's gay) jew from Illinois who went to India this summer, likes Passion Pit, Bon Iver, Taylor Swift and Arrested Development. I think he and I will get on well. The other guy is from Bethesda and is uhm, well, he breathes in his spare time. That's all I've been able to get from our brief conversation

    i love you! but seriously whats up with the different font?? your classes sound cool. i got my schedule so i have stuffs to post now too but im going to wait till i get my mac so i can make a video. omg your roomate thats a ginger and breathes in his spare time. at least youve been able to talk to your roomates.. i fbook messaged/emailed my roomate yesterday and NO RESPONSE. what kind of teen doesnt check their email/fbook daily?! anyway i really like the journalism hang out idea what should we dooo?

    I don't find out where I'm going to live or who my roommate will be until August. CDGJ, he posted a pic of Kim because she swapped saliva with him. I think we should have a journalism editors party (aka eat food and chat). Sorry, I like unoriginal ideas.

    Oh, swapped saliva with this girl....that's kinda awkward. Are you and her friends or what? But yes, we need to have a party, take lots of pictures, and post them on facebook. TAKE THAT TALIA! (Alliteration, lol)
